Dr James Dewe Mathews

James Dewe-Mathews has been practising restorative dentistry for over 45 years. He studied at Guy’s Hospital Dental School and qualified B.D.S. in December 1972 and L.D.S., R.C.S. in January 1973, having won the Newland Pedley prize and medal in his final year.

After a six-month House Surgeon’s appointment at Guy’s, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study in the USA, and also received a travelling scholarship from Guy’s Hospital. He went to the University of Michigan where he was awarded a scholarship by the University. He gained a Masters Degree (MS) in Fixed Prosthodontics in 1975.

Upon his return to the UK, he was a part time Registrar at Guys and began part-time in private practice. Since 1977 he has been in full-time restorative practice in Harley Street, London, and moved to Wimpole Street in 2009.

He is a registered with the GDC as a Specialist in Prosthodontics.

He has been a member of various professional societies over the years, and was President of the American Dental Society of Europe in 2010. He has lectured both in the UK and abroad and has co-authored a textbook  ‘Occlusion in Restorative Dentistry’. He is owner of Lab 39 – a Dental Laboratory in Wimpole Street, and also co-founder of Chiral Systems – a Practice Management Software company.

He lives in London and is married with two children.

Dr John Krezel

John graduated from the University of Leeds in 2011. Over 2-years he completed a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry before completing a full-time Masters in Implantology with distinction at Cardiff University. He passed Membership examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before proceeding to complete 3-years full-time specialist training in Prosthodontics at the Royal London Dental Hospital, during which he won the British Society of Prosthodontics In-training award enabling him to spend a period of study at Boston University.

Upon completion he successfully passed specialty examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh before moving to the United States where with the aid of a scholarship from the American Dental Society of London he completed a 2-year Fellowship in Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan, where he remains an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor.

John has published cases in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics. He focuses his work on fixed and removable prosthodontics and works alongside specialist colleagues, whom he will refer to when appropriate.

John is registered with the GDC as a specialist in Prosthodontics.
